PLAN YOUR VISIT

Noel is a dynamic Christian congregation in the Highland neighborhood of Shreveport. We are centered on Christ and growing disciples–body, mind, and spirit–so that we impact the world around us by extending God’s grace. Every Sunday we gather for worship and learning. There are services and classes for all ages. We hope you’ll join us soon...we look forward to meeting you!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

You should expect to be warmly greeted and to feel right at home on your first visit. You’re certain to find friendly people who are ready to help you find your way without overwhelming you. We offer two distinctly different opportunities for worship each Sunday morning: a traditional worship service at 9:00 am and a contemporary worship service at 11:00 am. And whether you’ve been to a church before or not, you’ll find that each worship service is simple to follow, with teachings that are meaningful, thoughtful, and relevant to your life. ALL are invited to come as you are!

  • Yes! Noel United Methodist Church embraces Jesus’ message that God loves and affirms every person. Therefore, we invite and welcome all people into full participation in the life of this faith community. We strive to be a church where everyone belongs, living out our vision to be one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world.

  • Absolutely! All children are welcome at Noel United Methodist Church and are encouraged to participate fully in worship, which includes a Children’s Message each Sunday in both worship services. We also have a nursery for infants through pre-school aged children. Between worship services, we offer Sunday School at 10:00am for all ages.

  • Sunday morning worship is the best introduction into the life of Noel United Methodist Church. From there, you are encouraged to consider sitting in on a Sunday School class; participating in one of our seasonal studies; or taking part in one of our outreach or mission opportunities.

If you are considering membership at Noel United Methodist Church, we invite you to contact one of our pastors to discover the history of Noel, hear about the beliefs and traditions of the United Methodist Church, and discover the steps necessary to become a part of our faith community.

  • As the second largest Protestant denomination in America, United Methodists share a common heritage with other Christians, holding to the historic essentials of the Christian faith. We have a passionate faith with strong convictions, but we also recognize that the world is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with grace and compassion.

We believe the goal of the Christian life is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. From the beginning of the Methodist movement, we have valued passionate worship, relevant preaching, small groups to hold Christians accountable to one another, and serving those who are in need. Furthermore, United Methodists value the full participation of women and men, people of all backgrounds in every facet of fellowship and leadership within the church and society.

For more information regarding the beliefs of our denomination, please visit the United Methodist Church’s official website.
