sundays, during the school year, 5-7pm, youth floor
United Methodist Youth Fellowship is our weekly get-together as a Christ-centered community. This time is designed for us to build deeper relationships with each other through fun, crazy, and thoughtful activities. Whether it’s a paint war or working on a service project, UMYF is where we build Christ-centered relationships with one another through fun, fellowship, and service.
sundays, during the school year, 4-5pm, youth floor
Youth band brings together our youth interested in vocal performance with those interested in furthering their instrumental talent. Combining their musical gifts, our youth band practices throughout the school year preparing performances for worship services and other church events!
Our youth sunday school is a wonderful atmosphere for youth to learn more about how our lives are part of the grander narrative of God’s story. Exploring the Bible as God’s story allows our youth to see the unique value of their own life story and the lives of others.
sundays 9:15am (certain times during the year)
ur confirmation class, designed for 6th and 7th grade students, teaches the principles of the United Methodist church, preparing them to confirm their faith in Jesus Christ and join the United Methodist Church. Confirmation is a wonderful experience that allows the youth to explore the intricacies of faith and the details of the United Methodist tradition in a fun-filled experiential manner.
Each year our youth participate in two big mission trips:
Weekend of the Cross
Weekend of the Cross is a city-wide service weekend for low-income families needing house repairs.
senior high summer mission trip
The summer mission trip is a week-long opportunity for our youth to serve others in unique and meaningful ways while learning about different cities and cultures across the United States.
We also offer a number of other activities throughout the year! We offer free ACT Prep courses and math tutoring as needed to assist our youth who aspire to become better students. For our “already book-worms” we’ve begun a weekly book club that explores the wonderful stories of fiction novels. For more information about any of these activities, contact Youth Director, Kalena Hanke.
