FOOD PANTRY
Noel Neighborhood Ministries is proud of our food pantry providing over 6,000 bags of food each year to people in need in Caddo Parish. The Food Pantry is operated by Director Mary Caldwell and Assistant Director, Ashleigh Salley, along with over 70 volunteers from Noel and various churches of all denominations.
We serve visitors in zip codes 71101, 71103, 71104, and 71105 on Mondays - Thursdays from 10am-2pm. The food pantry is located within our church at 520 Herndon St., Shreveport, LA 71101. You can also call us at 318.424.0434.
We also provide cat and/or dog food through collaboration with The Pet Pantry who furnishes the food already bagged and ready for our furry friends!
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
-
Purchase lovely gift cards in memory or honor of someone you love while giving the gift of love in the form of food to someone in need.
Cards are $10 each, providing food for a family of 4, or 6/$50 and are available throughout the year by contacting the Food Pantry at 424-0434. -
On the first Sunday of each month, food is collected for the Purple Bag ministry. The donated food enables the food pantry to provide a greater variety of nutritional items for clients. Purple bags (or any bag) can be brought to the Food Pantry during regular hours, or to Noel UMC worship services or to the church mission boxes during normal business hours.

The Food Pantry is a multi-faceted gem allowing volunteers to use their time and talents to bag groceries, assist with clients, unload trucks, and serve as greeters. It is a great way for students to acquire service hours. Both clients and volunteers are uplifted in body and spirit with love.
